About Fountain Village

How we got here

The infrastructure for Fountain Village for the most part was completed in 2006. Paved streets, sidewalks, curbs and gutters were almost non-existent in Hood County at that time other than in the city limits of Granbury, so the development stood out to all who saw it. The first houses were begun in late 2006 and the first occupants moved in in February of 2007. Building continued at a steady pace until the crash of the real estate market in 2008. Once the market began to recover, Fountain Village slowly joined that recovery. In 2018 the final lots were sold to several builders and construction is going forward at a steady pace.

The residents of Fountain Village are generally empty nesters seeking to downsize while maintaining the luxuries they have become accustomed to in larger family homes. Fountain Village has a large clubhouse with a full kitchen, fireplace and bathrooms, and sits beside our swimming pool. The clubhouse is available to residents for private functions and is used for community-wide functions on a regular basis. We have a warm and welcoming community who enjoy participating in activities together such as our regular Friday evening happy hour where neighbors get together with their beverage of choice and visit. We have frequent potluck dinners, cookouts, bunco night, poker night and are open to suggestions for additional activities.
